How do I arrange an advance?

If you need to be paid earlier in the week than your normal pay day, or if your timesheet was submitted late, we can still make sure you get paid on time.

Your point of contact will need to receive an email from your agency’s payroll department confirming your hours, pay rate and the day we’ll receive the funds into our account.

What do I need to do each week?

Depending on which agency you work for, all you need to do is to submit a signed timesheet to your agency as normal. Between us and them, we’ll take care of the rest.

Occasionally we might need you to email us your hours too, but your point of contact will let you know if this is the case.

It’s Friday and I’ve not been paid!

Get in touch with your point of contact at Granite BPO straight away, either by phone, email or Whatsapp. We’ll check the progress of your timesheet and liaise with your agency.

Should there have been an issue with your timesheet, we offer an advancing service for a one off fee of £25.

What is an apprentice levy?

The Apprenticeship Levy is a UK tax on employers which is used to fund apprenticeship training. In the current tax year, it is payable by all employers with an annual wage bill of more than £3,000,000 at a rate of 0.5%. Your Limited Rate covers this additional deduction.

What is employers NI?

When you work through an umbrella company, your agency will pay you at an uplifted pay rate (often referred to as a Limited Rate). This uplifted rate includes the funds to cover the employers NI, so when it’s deducted from the gross invoice amount and pay it to HMRC, it has no cost to you.

Do I get holiday pay?

Just like employers NI, the holiday pay element is included with your uplifted hourly rate. We will advance this holiday pay to you each week. If you’d like us to hold back this holiday pay for you, speak to your point of contact. Our holiday year runs from January 1st to December 31st
